Who We Are
We believe that the people who worship here would say that we are very much a church family. We are small enough for intimacy and large enough to provide a wide range of ministry to each other. We are a local church, but we see beyond ourselves. We believe the Gospel we preach calls us to participate in hands-on care for needs in the community. We are part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC).
Central to our worship are the Word, sacraments, and prayer, which, in the words of the Westminster Shorter Catechism, are the "outward and ordinary means whereby Christ communicates to us the benefits of redemption."
Music is a vital part of the worship service and a way of glorifying God. The Adult Choir, which is open to everyone, joyfully praises the Lord in song at the Sunday morning service and at several special services during the year.
We are shaped and equipped by the study of God's Word in the Bible (2 Timothy 3:15-17), by thinking about "whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure," and by putting what we learn into practice (Philippians 4:8-9). Our Christian Education programs aim to help people of all ages to know God and grow in their faith, and to enjoy fellowship and encouragement.
Our fellowship with one another rests on our fellowship with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ (1 John 1:3). Through our relationships, we seek to both promote the gospel and build up one another.
