Welcome from Pastor

Welcome to the home page of Faith Presbyterian Church, our electronic face. We hope that this glimpse of us will help to inform you of who and what we are. We welcome you to be a part of this community of worship, fellowship, and service.

We believe that the people who worship here would say that we are very much a church family. We are small enough for intimacy and large enough to provide a wide range of ministry to each other. We are a local church, but we see beyond ourselves. We believe the Gospel we preach calls us to participate in hands-on care for needs in the community—outreach to the poor, to the jail, to folk snared by alcohol and drugs. We are engaged in the spread of the Gospel beyond our homeland. We pray for missionaries, give to the work of foreign missions, invite missionaries to be with us, and a number of us have gone for short-term ministry to Zambia, Benin, Haiti, and Mexico—so far.

The quality of our life together is uplifting. In the variety of churches today we would probably be characterized as traditional and conservative. That is, we maintain dignity in worship, read and preach the Bible, and sing the great hymns as well as a few of the more modern songs.

As the new Pastor, having arrived in June of 2008, I am still learning new names and faces and finding my place here at Faith Church. I think you will find that there is a place for you here, and I welcome you to come find your place.
