Mitford Tea

Apr 19, 2015

The Annual Mitford Tea sponsored by Faith Women’s Fellowship is almost here. The date is Sunday, April 19 at 2:00 p.m. The theme for this year is “The Queen's Tea”.

The mission for this meeting will again be books for Dr. Kristin Hem’s clinic. She can really use books for ages six months to three years old. For the babies we could use Board Books; ones with letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and nursery rhymes are always great. Target often has board books like this in their dollar section. For the older kids, books like The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Gregory the Terrible Eater, Alexander and the Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, and other picture books at that level would be great. As always, due to our federal funding, overtly religious books are more of a challenge to give away.

Sign-up to decorate a table in a British theme. An example would be the Queen's table. We also need people to bring the Esther's Orange Marmalade cake, the Lew Boyd Cake, and several people to bring cucumber sandwiches to have with the other goodies.  Barbara Knox will get recipes to whomever needs them or you can find them online.

Plan to decorate a table, whip up some goodies and bring yourself and friends for a really good time of fellowship. There is a sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall.
